Mumbe Mwangangi identifies as an education activist. Currently, under Twi Vanwe CBO, Mumbe works on Nyansapo Ai, a tool for assessing learning levels of children. Mumbe’s mother inspired her to lead and live her best life and in her words, her mother “is a teacher and her work has made me understand the needs of children and education gaps, which should be addressed. She has made me understand my role in the African community.”
“I may not have everything figured out right now. One thing I am sure of right now is that I am happy helping children achieve their dreams through improving their literacy,” said Mumbe.
In commemoration of the International Youth Day and the 10th Anniversary of iKapture’s flagship youth project, YLEAD, 25 young changemakers from across Africa were selected for the 25 under 25 Young Leaders award due to their great contributions in their communities and the UN SDGs, and Mumbe Mwangang is one of them. Congratulations again!
