Dear Dove,

Everything hurts this night, from the hot steam from my old cooking stove to the cold rainy night and lonely street, preventing me from going out to watch the stars and feel closer to your abode and finally to the fact that am not really his love after all, another is, this hurts my heart so much.

Am not really sure my hunch is right this time, but trust me my hunches are always right, but why do I still feel I need another confirmation after his friend confirmed it also, perhaps am waiting for that kind of one, wherein I will be in a white garment and drown in water.
Am so pensive this night and am really sorry this not how our letters should go.
My friends have deserted me and my eyes can’t pull together in soundless sleep, cause am deep in worry, Then I remember you.

I just discovered nobody is really anybody’s friend, you just have to stick to yourself and be the best kind of friend you can to yourself.

I wish you could come perch on your Dovess window today and let your smile lighten my heart as you shame the stars as daylight doeth the lamp.

Bring along the precious healing flower you once told me tales of, cause am shivering from love’s fever.

Am still sleeping in this shirt you gave me the last time you visited, for the fifth night in a row and I know if I wash it once more the smell will be rinsed off with the bleach and the Clorox and the detergent.

Awake me when you come, with fragrance from heaven’s field.
