I write with great remorse and undue resentment on the recent phenomenon of hopeless life and hopeful rope hanging. It baffles the imagination of the common goat and draws the ‘muu, muu’ sound of the cow into a state of lugubrious. It steadily winces the magnificent mind of humans into the doldrums of their emotional down cry, it even exasperates the sense of the mad man on the streets as to what will trigger this self- life-taking.
As to what will be the cause of this anomaly, we can either guess rightly by saying, it is a psychological trauma or social stigma or even an emotional constipation. Or to be sure and true of this bizarre, we will have to be ” second Jesus, if possible”, resurrect these victims, question them as to what prompted them to take ownership of their life’s when they don’t own it. After our findings of the exact drama, we will then give them some heavy slaps to sensitize them on the need to have hope in all situations, and to re-ignite the sense of having confidence in the Creator of the universe and let them go on an eternal sleep again. For
For sometime now, as this incident descends and is at the verge of escalating, a horrible impalpable fear rose and spread throughout my entire being. It is akin to the feeling you get when you are reading a detective story written by a cold sadistic author, expert at twisting the last drop of suspense and horror out of his material. It is bad to pose a judgement on this abysmal situation, it is equally a grievous sin to take one’s life out of hopeless situations or whatever enigmatic stigma one may face in the society. Life is very precious and priceless for hopeless mess to cause a lifeless mystery.
There are so many ways to be successful in life, education isn’t the first thing, it wouldn’t be the last resort. It is simply part of the means and ways to be successful, but obviously not the main way.
Many yearn and cry for long life despite all the maniacal savage acts that still persist, yet ignorance still runs among some of us to commit suicide as a means of solving our trauma, not knowing the drama in the Hereafter. We are not supposed to die without emptying our potentials; unfortunately, many die without making much contributions to humanity, leaving the funeral preacher grasping for nice white lies to paint a good portrait of their life.
The Latin philosopher will say “Dum Spirum Spirum” to wit, whilst we breathe, there is still hope. We must not give up easily, we must not sink our emotions into the basin full of petrol, let’s have control of our emotions. Regardless of the social psychic scars we may carry inside, regardless of how others treat us, notwithstanding the disappointments and strains and setbacks magnify by depression which may blindside our finest intentions, there’s always a vacant vacuum full of hope to scare the rope into the wardrobe. We may experience so many herculean hurdles but through our persistent hustle and tussle we will see the sunshine at the end of the tunnel.
We must say No to suicide. We must take control of our society. We must seek for divine Intervention in our lives. We must not sideline the side of the fence and watch our affairs to fall in a fairytale.
Life is a gift from God. He alone has the right to take it back.
We cannot Change the world; we cannot change the way people think or behave, but we can remold ourselves to better understand the world.
Suicide can’t be an option. Suicide is far from the escape lane to the blissful plane. Let’s encourage people. Let’s motivate our society to re-innovate the ways of solving our problems. Our problems must not mull us into the mud.
Thank you.
