In recent times, so much has been happening around the world with the rise of Covid-19.
As a young person, how have you been coping with the pandemic? What have been your fears? Have you lost a job? Or a loved one? In response to the spread of the virus and to answer many questions, 2 young Africans set out to create a documentary of young people from across the world, gathering their experiences on dealing with Covid-19. From this passion project, the 12-minute documentary, Surviving Covid-19, was birthed.
Surviving COVID-19 is a smartphone virtual documentary produced by Nigerian Chioma Paul-Dike (Deborah Lewis Production) & Ghanaian Eric Kafui Okyerefo (4Colors Group). It documents the experiences of youths from all over the world – including a COVID-19 survivor – currently experiencing and responding to the ongoing global pandemic. The documentary is a form of support and connection for youths around the world who are going through the pandemic. It is also worthy of note that the producers, Eric and Chioma, are students of the MultiChoice Talent Factory (Academy), an education program that develops the best emerging TV and film talent in Africa.
